A large manufacturer of upholstery fabrics required pretreatment for latex wastewaters containing high concentrations of solids, BOD, and especially difficult-to-treat chelated zinc. ERA characterized the production process and waste streams before conducting bench and pilot scale treatability tests onsite. Design plans, specifications and permits resulted in the construction of the full scale chemical treatment system. In addition, ERA provided construction observation, startup, operator training, monitoring and regulatory reporting. The system met or exceeded performance requirements.
