Indoor Air Pollution Study for Hospital

A regional hospital experienced staff complaints symptomatic of polluted building air. ERA reviewed the hospital's air handling systems and pollution sources in and outside the hospital, assessing likely causes, and proposing solutions. A detailed study modeling outside air pollution sources including an incinerator, diesel generator fumes, fuel truck fumes and roof hoods, showed that several air intakes drew polluted air into the building. Recommendations were made for modifying the pollutant sources and air handling system.
